Social Care Event: Understanding Support, Short Breaks and Services

BBPCF is pleased to invite parent carers to a Social Care Event designed to help families better understand the support available for children and young people with SEND and disabilities in Bedford Borough.

Feedback from parent carers consistently highlights questions around Social Care services, including what support is available, how Short Breaks work, and the thresholds used by the Children with Disabilities Team. This event has been arranged in response to that feedback and provides an opportunity to hear directly from senior leaders within the Social Care Team.

During the session, families will have the chance to:

• Learn more about Social Care support and services

• Understand Short Breaks and how they can help families

• Gain insight into eligibility criteria and thresholds for support
